Technical Tactics Fishing Course

22nd and 23rd April on Bossington Estate

with Paul Procter and Gilly Bate

A rare opportunity to join AAPGAI Paul Procter and Gilly Bate on some of the Test's most exclusive beats. These one day courses are aimed at improving your trout fishing skills on rivers.

The day will cover all aspects of trout fishing, including: tackle selections, fly life, the trout's habitat, leader construction and knots, selecting the right fly and much more.

The course caters for all levels who are keen to further their knowledge on running water and thus improve their skills, enjoyment and catch rate!

A writer for Trout & Salmon and Fieldsports Magazine, Paul has over 40 year fly fishing experience around the world. His imitative approach has seen the development of many fly patterns. Paul guides in the North of the UK as well as accompanying groups to far flung corners of the world. A vice president of both the Wild Trout Trust and Salmon and Trout Conservation, Paul is always keen to promote the wilder side of fly fishing.

Gilly is a single handed advanced caster with AAPGAI and she has been fishing for over 25 years on the Southern Chalk Streams as well as regularly travelling overseas. She has guided and instructed for the last 20 years and fully understands the tactics used world wide and the necessity to constantly strive towards improved casting, knowledge of flies and appropriate kit depending on conditions.

Cost £295 per person with light picnic lunch included. Numbers limited so please contact Gilly on g.bate@flyodyssey.co.uk or call on 07817 304232 for more information and to book the course.
